Sign: Texas Woman Caught On Video Beating Her Puppy

San Antonio, TX – A 23-year-old Texas woman is facing a felony animal cruelty charge after she was captured on video viciously beating a three-month-old puppy with a belt. Police arrested Havanna Miller on Saturday, January 18, after heartbreaking video surfaced on social media showing her screaming at and repeatedly striking a defenseless puppy on an apartment balcony in the 12000 block of Culebra.

The authorities seized the pup, a toy poodle named Thanos, and transported him to animal care services for care during the investigation.

Thanos, defenseless puppy who suffered senseless abuse

The damning video, captured by a horrified neighbor, shows Miller striking this innocent puppy, a pup she registered as an emotional support animal, more than 15 times. Who gets a puppy, make the effort to register him as an emotional support animal, and then abuses him? This is a sickening act of cruelty that must never happen again!

Animal Victory wants to see Miller behind bars, forbidden from regaining custody of Thanos, and prohibited from owning or residing with animals in the future. If you agree, please add your name to the petition today!

WHY THIS PETITION MATTERS:Β

We, the undersigned, demand justice for Thanos, the three-month-old puppy viciously beaten by Havanna Miller. Miller repeatedly struck this defenseless puppy with a belt, and she must be held accountable for her despicable actions. Animal Victory and its supporters demand that Miller face true repercussions rather than a meaningless slap on the wrist.

Research has consistently shown a strong link between animal cruelty and human violence. Individuals who commit such heinous acts against animals often pose a threat to society as a whole, as animal abuse is frequently a precursor to other violent crimes. Failing to hold Miller accountable not only denies justice for this puppy but also endangers the community at large. It is imperative that we send a clear message that such cruelty will not be tolerated.

Individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Animal Victory relies upon the authorities and the court system to determine guilt or innocence.

Note: Miller faces at least one count of animal cruelty torture, a third-degree felony punishable between two to ten years in prison. She was released on $15,000 bond one day after her arrest and is scheduled for a pre-indictment hearing on March 25. The puppy is not available for adoption until the investigation has concluded.

18,950 Yvonne L. This is horrifying and shocking to the conscious. Even if one can't afford professional assistance, how does such intentional, brutal, and horrific animal abuse such as what the perpetuator did here keep happening when it is EASY to go online and find free guides and information from professional animal behavioralists and trainers telling you to use humane, force free methods when raising and training animals (and the reasons why to do this instead of harsh yelling/physical abuse)? Of course, don’t just look at the first one you see…read a bunch and compare and see the commonalities (i.e., force free and fear free training). This might take a little bit of reading, but if you want to take the time to commit to an animals you must take the time to commit to training yourself (first and foremost) and the animal, as you do not speak its language! There is also fairly low cost online training, which is can be very effective. Anyone can do all of this on their cell phone or computer, quickly and efficiently. There is NO reasonable excuse or justification for this. NONE. This woman intentionally, maliciously, horrifically, brutally subjected this baby puppy to emotional/mental/physical torture and abuse. Undoubtedly she did far more when behind closed doors and elsewhere. This woman this is a danger to society and every animal (human or not) in it. She must be sentenced without plea deal and go to prison for an extended and maximum period of time, be banned for life from owning, living with, working with, caring for, and/or being anywhere near animals (all of which must be published on an easy to access national and public registry to allow others to protect their animals and try to prevent this person from being near them) and fined for ALL medical/investigatory/legal costs. 0 Apr 12, 2025

18,921 Isabella D. She needs a psychiatrist, not an emotional support dog to abuse. Beating such a small creature says a lot about her and her coping skills. She should never be given custody of the dog, not ever be able to own another. She is a sociopath and will eventually hurt people. Please punish and charge her to the fullest extent. 0 Apr 01, 2025
