Redford, Michigan – On April 21, 2025, Brandon Lee Dwayne Littke, 25, threw two kittens from a moving vehicle at a Detroit gas station and heartlessly ran over one, killing the young feline in front of its sibling.

The injured kitten did not die immediately – instead, surveillance video shows the crushed kitten writhing on the ground in pain for approximately 30 seconds before finally growing still and passing away; the surviving kitten can be seen curling up next to the fatally injured kitten, trying to comfort his dying sibling.
The surveillance video was viewed by the Detroit Police, who arrested Littke on April 24, charging him with one count of animal killing/torturing and one count of abandoning two to three animals (both are felonies).
It is a cruel, senseless crime that even left Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy shaken. She expressed her disgust, saying:
“No living being should ever be thrown from a moving vehicle. Ever. Does this really need to be said? The alleged actions of the defendant in this case are criminal and not acceptable on any level.”
Animal lovers who viewed the disturbing video have called Littke lazy, stupid, and sadistic. The kitten killer was too lazy to properly surrender the unwanted kittens, stupid for dumping them out of a moving vehicle in a public space, in front of surveillance cameras, and sadistic for showing no concern for the precious lives he threw away before running one of them over.

WHY THIS PETITION MATTERS:
We, the undersigned, demand that Brandon Lee Dwayne Littke receive the maximum sentence for this evil and heartless crime! These kittens did not ask to be born. They did not ask to be thrown away like unwanted trash, and the deceased kitten certainly did not want to be crushed beneath the tires of a moving SUV. Littke must be held accountable for his despicable actions!
Research has consistently shown a strong link between animal cruelty and human violence. Individuals who commit such heinous acts against animals often pose a threat to society as a whole, as animal abuse is frequently a precursor to other violent crimes. Failing to hold this man accountable not only denies justice for the two innocent kittens but also endangers the community at large. It is imperative that we send a clear message that such cruelty will not be tolerated.
Individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Animal Victory relies upon the authorities and the court system to determine guilt or innocence.
Note: Brandon Littke’s case is currently with the 36th District Court in Wayne County. His case # is 2505729501. Littke had a Zoom meeting examination on May 20. Per the case document, the next in-person hearing is being scheduled. He has been charged with two felonies, and he is prohibited from being around animals. A good Samaritan, Yolibeth Delfin, intends to give the surviving cat (dubbed Diesel) a forever home as soon as he is available for adoption from Michigan Humane.
Update 05/26/2025: Animal Victory sent petition to the Judge and DA.
Update 05/25/2025: A prosecutor from the Animal Protection Unit is seriously handling the case. The magistrate knew the defendant’s criminal history and set a low bond at the arraignment. The preliminary examination is scheduled for June 5, 2025, where the prosecution will present evidence and request that the defendant be bound to the trial court. The prosecutor will also move to raise the bond after presenting the evidence.
