This is horrifying and shocking to the conscious. These teens intentionally, maliciously, viciously, subjected this kitten (and undoubtedly other kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, and/or other animals) to prolonged emotional/mental/physical torture and ultimately murdered it. These teens are a danger to society and every animal (human or otherwise) in it. They must be sentenced WITHOUT plea deal and go to prison (if they are close to 18 they should be tried as an adult) for an extended and maximum period of time, be banned for life from owning, living with, working with, caring for, and/or being anywhere near animals (all of which must be published on an easy to access public registry to allow others to protect their animals and try to prevent this person from being near them) and fined for ALL medical/investigatory/legal costs. We must stop letting animal abusers and murderers off with a slap on the wrist and demonstrate to the world that animal abuse/murder/neglect will not be tolerated.

Leniency only harbors less accountability, making it "alright" and when they reach adulthood, it becomes "normal" to them.
