Sign: Justice For Dog Drowned in Airport Toilet by Owner

Orlando, FL – On March 18, Orlando police took 57-year-old Alison Lawrence into custody for the December 2024 killing of her senior dog, Tywinn, who was drowned in a toilet at the Orlando International Airport. On December 16, Lawrence killed the nine-year-old miniature Schnauzer in an airport bathroom after she was told that she did not have the right paperwork to board a flight to Colombia with her pet.

Lawrence killed her dog in an airport bathroom toilet.

An airport employee found Tywinn’s body in the airport garbage can – the dog’s collar, including an identification tag with Lawrence’s name and phone number, were in the trash as well. One employee later reported seeing Lawrence on the floor of a bathroom stall, cleaning up “a large amount of water and dog food.”

Not actual dog

Animal Services was called to the airport and assisted with identifying the dog through the microchip. A necropsy confirmed that the little dog died from drowning.

The shockingly cruel incident resulted in a third-degree felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty.

Alison Lawrence did the unthinkable – rather than making arrangements for her dog after being denied boarding, she walked Tywinn into an airport bathroom and held his head under water in a toilet until he died. She proceeded to throw him away like unwanted trash in the bathroom canister. Please add your name to the petition to hold this woman accountable for her despicable behavior!

Target: State Attorney Monique H. Worrell – Ninth Judicial Circuit

WHY THIS PETITION MATTERS:

We, the undersigned, demand Alison Lawrence be held accountable for her despicable decision to drown her senior dog in an airport bathroom toilet. There is literally NO excuse for this depraved act of cruelty. Animal Victory and its supporters want to see this woman prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for the felony charge of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.

Research has consistently shown a strong link between animal cruelty and human violence. Individuals who commit such heinous acts against animals often pose a threat to society as a whole, as animal abuse is frequently a precursor to other violent crimes. Failing to hold this woman accountable not only denies justice for this innocent dog but also endangers the community at large. It is imperative that we send a clear message that such cruelty will not be tolerated.

Individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Animal Victory relies upon the authorities and the court system to determine guilt or innocence.

Note: Alison Lawrence was released from custody after posting $5,000 bond. Lawrence faces up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine for killing Tywinn.

18,366 Cindy T. This has to STOP! Can you imagine how this baby felt? Being murdered by the same hand that fed him, by an Evil person? And yes, I called her dog a baby, because that's how loving pet owners treat their pets. They ARE our babies. She is a MONSTER, who needs a long jail term. Also fined heavily. She deserves nothing less than rotting in prison. My heart is broken over this little fur baby, and I know I'm not alone. FLORIDA....the abused, neglected and murdered pets need justice ! These people NEED to do long prison terms. We will not let this go! We will always be the voices for the voiceless 0 Mar 28, 2025
