Sign: Man Threw, Punched, Drowned Kittens He Adopted from Shelters

Port St. Lucie, Florida – A 23-year-old man in Port St. Lucie is accused of a sickening string of criminal acts that caused suffering and death for kittens he adopted from area animal shelters. The man behind the sadistic crimes is identified as Alairic Alec Ramsbott.

According to the authorities, Ramsbott tortured and killed at least seven adopted kittens by throwing them to the ground, punching them in the face (breaking at least one kitten’s neck), drowning them, and inflicting “other trauma.”

An investigation was initiated in June after a concerned individual reported concerns about the kittens inside Ramsbott’s home at 571 SE Anchor Lane. As reported by Your News, “The complainant reported that four kittens were currently in the home and one appeared to have a broken leg. The individual also claimed that Ramsbott had previously adopted seven other kittens from various agencies since March 2025—all of which reportedly died under suspicious circumstances.”

The individual who provided the case-breaking tip to the authorities said that during some of the incidents, Ramsbott would wear long rubber gloves to protect himself from being scratched by his feline victims. On June 19, when the police searched Ramsbott’s home, they found books regarding “witchcraft, demonology, sacrifices and ritualistic processes.”

According to the complainant, Ramsbott had all seven kittens cremated after their deaths.

On June 25, Ramsbott was arrested on eight felony counts of cruelty to animals and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail on a $600,000 bond. Police seized four surviving kittens from Ramsbott’s home; one had a broken jaw, and two others had injuries. The kittens were taken in by the Humane Society of St. Lucie County.

Master Sergeant Dominick Mesiti commented on the depraved crimes, telling CBS 12 News:

“All were young kittens They’re relying on humans to take care of them, and instead, this gentleman was violent with them.”

WHY THIS PETITION MATTERS: 

We, the undersigned, demand that Alairic Alec Ramsbott be held accountable for the pain and suffering he subjected multiple adopted kittens to. These innocent, young kittens should have been embarking on a new life full of love and care, but instead, they were punched, strangled, thrown, and drowned. Laws must recognize the actual seriousness of animal abuse and ensure that those who commit these cruel acts are held fully accountable.

Research has consistently shown a strong link between animal cruelty and human violence. Individuals who commit such heinous acts against animals often pose a threat to society as a whole, as animal abuse is frequently a precursor to other violent crimes. Failing to hold this man accountable not only denies justice to these innocent kittens, who suffered and died, but also endangers the community at large. We must send a clear message that such cruelty will not be tolerated.

Individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Animal Victory relies upon the authorities and the court system to determine guilt or innocence.

Update 10/06/2025: The next court date for Alaric Alex Ramsbott, Case #2025CF001563A, is November 25, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The Prosecution had attempted to serve a subpoena to John Roberts of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in Tallahassee, FL, for the court date, however, the subpoena was not served.
