Pasco County, Florida – A 21-year-old Florida woman is accused of a gruesome crime against a neighborhood cat. Most animal cruelty cases are horrible, but the details of the case involving Juliana Alyssa Brown are beyond heinous.
According to an arrest affidavit, Brown told investigators with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office that she held a neighborhood cat captive for several days, torturing it relentlessly until the cat finally died.
Suspect: Juliana Alyssa Brown, 21, of Trinity, Florida.
Arrest: October 14, 2026, following an investigation by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Prolonged cruelty: Investigators say Brown held a neighborhood cat captive and attempted to kill it in multiple ways over several days in May 2024.
Disturbing aftermath: According to the arrest affidavit, Brown ultimately drowned the cat, skinned and dissected its body, consumed its organs, and preserved its decapitated head in alcohol.
Charge: One felony count of aggravated animal cruelty causing excessive pain or death. Investigators cited public safety concerns when requesting a high bond.
Graphic Details of the Alleged Crime
Brown said that she first attempted to kill the cat by placing it in a white trash bag and drowning it. Brown then grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the cat several times.
The cat was screaming in pain, which Brown told detectives caused her to become “sexually aroused.” Brown said the cat did not die from the stab wounds, so she attempted to crush it between her legs, which also did not work.
Deputies say Brown was ultimately able to drown the cat in her bathroom.

Details of the alleged torture and killing are loathsome, but what Brown says she did next are sickening.
The arrest affidavit states that Brown then “skinned the cat, dissected its organs, placed them in a blender, and drank them.” Brown told patrol deputies she, “later decapitated the cat and removed the face off of the head which she held onto for several months after preserving it in alcohol.”
During questioning, Brown allegedly showed detectives a Polaroid photograph labeled May 5, 2024, depicting the cat after it had been skinned from the head down and its organs removed. She also showed investigators a photograph of the same cat alive on May 3.
Brown reportedly produced the kitchen knife she claimed to have used to kill the cat. According to the affidavit, she identified it by damage she said occurred when the blade struck the cat’s bones.

Brown’s family confirmed that they had taken a vacation in May 2024. Using the photographs and other information gathered during the investigation, deputies determined that Brown had held the cat captive and killed it between May 3 and May 5, 2024.
According to the affidavit, Brown told deputies she felt no emotion about the incident or her arrest. She also allegedly told investigators that she had frequently fantasized about killing animals since she was just 3 years old.
These are not allegations from a witness or a friend or family member. According to the arrest affidavit, these are the admissions made by Juliana Alyssa Brown to the authorities. And it was Juliana Brown who provided photos of the victimized cat to investigators.
This is a sadistic, deranged act of cruelty and Brown’s victim undoubtedly suffered greatly before death. Please add your name to the petition to hold this woman accountable for her actions!
We call on State Attorney Bruce Bartlett to pursue every legally supportable charge against Juliana Alyssa Brown, including separate counts for distinct alleged acts, as Florida law permits. Aggravated animal cruelty, a third-degree felony, carries up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. If convicted, we demand maximum lawful punishment and consideration of consecutive sentences for multiple convictions where permissible. A conviction that includes a finding of knowing, intentional torture or torment that injured, mutilated, or killed the cat requires at least a $2,500 fine and psychological counseling or anger-management treatment. We request a court-ordered psychological evaluation and appropriate treatment. We seek the longest court-authorized animal ownership and possession ban, plus lawful restrictions on working with animals. The horror of this cat’s alleged torture and death is beyond measure.
