Valdosta, Georgia – Animal lovers are outraged over a disturbing social media video showing the cruel abuse of two helpless kittens being thrown high into the air and then crashing back down to the pavement. The cruelty allegedly took place recently in Valdosta, Georgia, possibly near West Mary Street.
The video (below) shows two women laughing hysterically as they stand in the middle of a dark street and hurl a small black and white kitten into the air, allowing the tiny feline to plunge back to the street. Heartbreakingly, you can hear the thud of the kitten’s body upon impact.
The laughing continues as a tiny orange kitten is thrown into the air, with the same dismal impact…the kitten plunging to the hard pavement seconds later.
We do not know what injuries the kittens sustained, but given the height they were thrown, it is likely that they suffered broken bones in their little legs, or their jaw.
Animal Victory is shocked by this horrifying act of cruelty. We demand a full investigation to identify, arrest, charge, and prosecute those responsible for what was done to these helpless kittens.
We will send your signatures to the Valdosta Police Department and Lowndes County Animal Services.
Please add your name today and help us push for a full investigation!
Please share this petition to help spread the word and bring these individuals to justice.
We demand a full investigation into this disturbing animal-cruelty incident, verification of those responsible, and referral to the appropriate prosecutor TO PROSECUTE THE CASE if the evidence supports criminal charges.
If you recognize the people or have information about this incident, please report it to the Valdosta Police Department at 229-293-3091 or submit a tip online. You can also report the suspected animal cruelty to Lowndes County Animal Services at 229-671-2760. If you witness animal cruelty in progress or an immediate emergency, call 911.
Please provide the original video, screenshots, names/usernames, the date and location, and any other information that could help investigators identify those responsible. Do not confront anyone yourself.
Note: We do not know the fate of these kittens. Were they fatally injured? Were they attacked by a predator after being wounded? When and if we get more information, the petition will be updated to reflect it.
Based on reports from authorities, details may change. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Images may be illustrative.
