Detroit, Michigan – On Monday, July 15, two dogs who were let out into their own fenced yard in Detroit, Michigan, were shot by a neighbor. Their owners claim that the Detroit Police Department “laughed” when they were informed about the incident. The family is so shaken by this violence that they temporarily moved into a motel because they are afraid to go home.

Please join us in asking the police to arrest and charge the person responsible for injuring these family dogs!

Samson and Sadie are the dogs who were injured after a neighbor shot them on Monday – their owners claim that the person who shot the dogs also fired shots at them! Sadie suffered a flesh wound and Samson was seriously injured.

On Friday, the Detroit Pit Crew alerted the public about the situation, writing, “After paying thousands of dollars to save their dogs the victims went to make a report at Detroit’s 8th Precinct and some the officers laughed at them. A police report was filed and a Detective Robinsonn was assigned to the case, but nothing has been done to help this family.”

This crime must be taken seriously – please sign this petition asking the Detroit Police Department to fully investigate and arrest the individual who fired the gun and wounded these dogs!
