Loveland, Colorado –A deeply disturbing animal-cruelty case involving multiple neighborhood cats and allegations concerning a 10-year-old girl has raised urgent questions about why no prosecution followed. According to the reporting witness, police received 911 calls, an eyewitness account, reports of multiple injured or deceased cats, and concerns from school staff. The timeline also states that police recovered a deceased cat and sent it for necropsy and DNA testing. Yet no prosecution followed.
At least three cats were brutally killed, allegedly by a 10-year-old girl, and six more cats were brutally beaten in the same neighborhood. Nine cats in total.

This is one of the most disturbing and complex animal cruelty cases Animal Victory has ever reviewed. We are committed to presenting the facts as accurately as possible. Because no criminal charges have been filed and the accused is a minor, we are not publicly identifying the child in this petition. However, the child’s identity is known to us and will be included in our letters to the appropriate officials. Additionally, the owners of the deceased and injured cats are not being identified because they fear for their safety. Our goal is simple: present the documented facts and demand a thorough, accountable review of this case.
According to the reporting witness, who also lost Cats #1 and #2 to blunt force trauma, the accused’s siblings allegedly “bragged” to other students about what had happened. The school counselors and principal were reportedly notified and also contacted the Loveland Police Department.
When the reporting witness asked the accused cat killer’s parents if they had informed one of the slain cat’s owners about what the child did, the dad’s response was “F*ck you, you stupid f*cking b*tch!”
Despite several witnesses, concern from school officials, and multiple blunt force trauma cat deaths, the police failed to follow through on their investigation of this child and the child’s family is apparently covering for her.
The reporting witness, who took her case to the authorities and who reached out to Animal Victory, wants justice served for the cats that have died in an “absolutely chilling” manner. And she wants this child to get the psychological help she so obviously needs. Research shows that repeated, deliberate harm to animals can reflect deep psychological disturbance, desensitization to suffering, and patterns of dominance that may escalate over time.

We demand a full, supervisory review of the handling of this animal-cruelty matter, including all 911 calls, witness accounts, school reports, veterinary and necropsy evidence, DNA testing, photographs, recordings, and the status of Loveland Police Case #LP25-000-7097.We further demand that Loveland Police complete any remaining investigative steps, provide the reporting witness with a written explanation of the case status and disposition, and promptly refer all available evidence to the Larimer County District Attorney for an independent charging review.The community deserves to know why serious allegations involving multiple tortured and killed cats did not result in prosecution, and what steps will now be taken to protect other cats.
