Shelter Cat Adopted After Video About His Owner’s Death Hits Social Media

Published: April 26, 2023 at 12:47 PM Author: Penny Eims

Broward County, FL – A shelter cat named Romeo found a new home after a video detailing his sad situation began circulating on social media. The friendly tabby cat wound up at the Humane Society of Broward County after his owner passed away.

According to the shelter agency, a neighbor took Romeo in for a short time, but allergies forced them to surrender Romeo to the humane society.

A heartbreaking note on Romeo’s cage detailed the death of Romeo’s owner, and how he was having a hard time adjusting to life without his best friend.

Romeo’s video went viral on TikTok and in short order, a new home for the orphaned cat was secured.

Oh Romeo 😔🥺 Romeo’s owner passed away… he lost his best friend 💔 Romeo was then taken in by a neighbor, but they became allergic. Now sweet Romeo is frightened and confused, living in a noisy shelter. His whole world changed, and so he hides in his bed, too scared to come out. To help this 5-year-old adjust to all of the changes in his life, he will be staying in a foster home. To meet him please call 954-989-3977 x.6 ❤️ #fyp #foryou #foryoupage #adoptme #cat #catsoftiktok #catlover #sadcat

Yea for Romeo-nice to read a heartwarming story about a cat instead of the usual depressing and distressing stories. Encouraging to know there actually are nice people out there to offset the actions of the assholes who usually propagate these stories from Animal Victory.( Nothing against Animal Victory)They are just in the unfortunate and thankless position of having to report these incidents to get as much support as possible to put away these reprehensible assholes who commit these crimes and I am always thankful for their efforts to try to get the most punishment for these pricks although most people will agree the punishment is never enough unless it is life or execution.
