What is the mission of Animal Victory Disaster And Abuse Fund? (AVDAF)
The primary mission of AVADF is to work with and provide supplies and funds to credible, sustainable local animal organizations that are providing for the urgent rescue and care of animals during crises, disasters, or abusive situations within their community. As able, AVDAF will respond to requests for mutual aid from other jurisdictions outside of the United States.
AVDAF also shares the operating costs with its affiliate Animal Victory. A compassionate advocacy group fighting animal abusers through petitions. By sharing the overhead marketing and administration costs, both organizations save money and can promote animal welfare issues via petitions and other campaigns to attract a much larger audience and gain more exposure to help animals. People who need and want a tax deduction and wish to support our petition work at the same time can donate through the fund for a win-win.
What is the vision?
Helping vulnerable animals when they need it most.
What are the program activities?
Home Street Home Program
Serving dogs and cats of people experiencing homelessness. This program is an annual organized effort during the holidays to provide food, supplies, and veterinarian care for the pets of people experiencing homelessness. As funds allow we work on this program year-round with plans to expand the locations.
Petition Publishing Program
Serves animals who have been abused. This program is comprised of a small advocacy group that publishes petitions to get signatures from the public to use in a court of law to fight for the maximum punishment for convicted animal abusers or to fight for investigations for alleged animal abusers. The fund shares operating costs with the Animal Victory Petition Program.
Helping Animals In Crises And Disasters Program
Serves animals who are in the midst of natural disasters. By utilizing manpower during disasters or other crises from a variety of animal welfare organizations in the affected regions. We identify and provide funds and supplies to the sustainable, credible, boots-on-the-ground local shelters that are on the front lines urgently rescuing animals in addition to organizations urgently providing for the care and rescue of animals from abusive situations.
Note: We are laser-focused on the needs of small local, carefully vetted, animal welfare organizations working on the front lines during disasters or with animal abuse cases, and who have a history of success and are most likely to sustain.
